When I discovered the disc-bound system back in 2017, I fell head over heels in love with the simple elegance of the concept - the discs hold the pages together and the pages stop the discs from rolling away. My search for the perfect notebook seemed to finally be over and I was positively brimming with excitement. Right up until I tried to feed my new addiction…
At the time, finding ANY disc-bound products in the UK seemed next to impossible. The few I managed to track down were either a bit corporate or a little frilly for my tastes, or just eye wateringly expensive. Eventually, I decided to make my own and opened my ETSY shop in 2018, under the inspired name of DiscboundUK.
It may sound trite, but I believe that finding pleasure in the everyday is the secret to a happier life. A little of what you fancy definitely does you good! Lovely stationery is an affordable indulgence that fits right in with that idea.
I love finding beautiful images and patterns for my notebook covers and hope they bring a smile to people's faces. My printed cover designs feature my own original pictures and gorgeous designs by independent artists and photographers. I also enjoy making handmade covers from tactile materials like real cork and vintage wallpaper.
My tiny hand-made batches mean that each notebook is (almost) unique and I refresh my designs regularly - so if you see something you like, snap it up quickly! If there's nothing that tickles your fancy right now, please come back for another look soon.
All my notebooks can be personalised and I am happy to create bespoke covers and custom-designed planner inserts in the size and style of your choice. Please get in touch if you'd like something made especially for you.
I hope my little business can have a positive impact :) I avoid cheap generic imports and choose quality, sustainable materials made by UK-based suppliers wherever possible. I am particularly pleased to now offer UK-made aluminium binding discs, manufactured to my own design.
