1 What types of disc do you sell?
We sell aluminium discs with a binding diameter of 20mm (0.75") and 30mm (1.25") and top quality Levenger Circa black plastic discs in a range of sizes from 12mm (0.5") to 38mm (1.5"). We don't recommend discs outside this size range.
2 What's so special about your aluminium discs?
We are absolutely thrilled to have these new discs in our shop - the first of their kind and the ONLY planner-sized discs to be made here in the UK.
Not just a pretty face, either - as well as their gleaming aesthetics, the smooth rim and thin profile give a smoother page-turn than the best plastic discs. And the central holes stay perfectly aligned (maybe it's just us, but we find misaligned discs really irritating!)
These discs have been specially designed based on extensive research into different planner systems and punching patterns. They are optimised for our own inserts but are fully compatible with all the main disc-bound brands. A thinner version is also available, made especially for the Happy Planner.
Ethically sourced - made in the UK from Italian aluminium - so you can buy with a clear conscience :)
We want these to be accessible to everyone so have kept our profit margins as low as possible. Our price is less than you'd pay for generic imported discs from other ETSY shops. These discs are of exceptional quality and offer excellent value for money.
3 Do you sell plastic discs in any colours other than black?
Not at the moment. Luckily, our polished black discs look good with any cover design! (This versatility is worth bearing in mind if you plan to reuse your discs for future notebooks).
The Levenger Circa discs are only available in bulk in black plastic. Other coloured discs are available as generic imports from the Far East but we prefer not to buy them as they tend to be of variable and inferior quality. We're also unwilling to order directly from overseas factories as we can't properly check their working conditions; we buy from large companies that have the resources to thoroughly vet their suppliers.
We hope to add a more colourful range of Happy Planner discs soon and also plan to source UK-made discs eventually.
4 What size discs do I need?
The 0.75" discs are perfect for a bullet journal or notebook, whilst most people choose a larger size for building a planner. Please see the Refills section of the FAQs for our recommended page numbers for different sizes of disc.
5 What are holographic inlays?
Holographic inlays are reflective stickers that fit the inside of the discs perfectly. They are applied to each side of the discs and reflect the inside edge of your pages to give an almost-invisible, floating effect. They look particularly good with metal discs!
You can save 50% if you order your inlays together with your discs or notebook.
We can cut inlays to fit other disc sizes on request.
